You already have a health insurance provided by your employer? You consider that it doesn’t cover you well enough? At UEX, we advise you to top-up your existing insurance.
A top-up health coverage is an additional protection that can be purchased with your insurer or with another insurance company. In conjunction with your current expat health insurance, it will provide more coverage options for you or you family.
If you want to top-up your current health insurance with UEX, you can opt for one of our Base plans.
UEX Base plans 1 and 2 will cover inpatient and outpatient expenses, including GP, specialists and alternative medicine (Base plan 2 only) within Singapore. These plans will also cover emergencies outside Singapore.
UEX Base plans 1 and 2 are frequently chosen by our expats to top-up their existing health insurance.
How much will this cost me?
The cost of your top-up will vary depending on your age, your medical history, and the options you choose. You can easily customise your plan and check the prices in UEX app: https://app.uexglobal.com
Here are a few examples:
UEX Base plans 3 and 4 will cover medical expenses internationally. These plans are often contracted by families with a long term vision as they will allow the insured to keep their cover while living in another country if they decide to leave Singapore.
The cost of these plans are significantly higher that the Plans 1 and 2. However, you can decide to optimize the costs by opting for an annual deductible where UEX will only cover you on the amount that exceeds your current coverage limit.
To know more about annual deductible, you can refer to our dedicated article.

It is important to know that UEX cannot provide you a top-up for specialist only as specialists are always linked to inpatient covers.
If you want to include specialists in your coverage, we invite you to opt for one of our Base plan listed above.
