KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, located in the Kallang district at 100 Bukit Timah Road Singapore 229899, is a hospital dedicated exclusively to women and children up to 16 years of age. With 830 beds, it will receive you for all types of gynaecological, paediatric and obstetrical services (23 services dedicated to women and 37 for children).

1. Anesthesia
This service operates in cases of general anaesthesia, pain management or intensive care. A pre-anaesthesia clinic is also available to give advice and consultations prior to the patients’ surgery.

2. Colorectal Surgery
This service provides screening and treatment for all patients suffering from uncomfortable or painful colorectal problems.

3. Dental Service
This service focuses on oral health and dentofacial aesthetics. It specializes in orthodontics, prosthodontics and oral and dentofacial surgery. It therefore covers a wide range of possibilities, from the prevention and correction of dental irregularities to the restoration and replacement of teeth.

4. Dermatology
This department specializes in women’s dermatology. Many cases of skin problems can develop during pregnancy, hence the importance of this service. It also treats problems related to hair and nails.

5. Diagnostic and interventional imaging
This service, consisting of equipment at the cutting edge of technology, allows the patient to be diagnosed in “safety” and “comfort”. Patients can benefit from diagnostics via ultrasound, magnetic resonance or digital. It treats children up to 16 as well as women.

6. Breast Centre
This service operates for all patients suffering from breast problems, cancerous or not. Digital mammography, breast ultrasound, surgical consultation and minimally invasive biopsies are all grouped together in the same building in order to guarantee the fluidity and speed of care.

7. Endometriosis Centre
This service focuses on the treatment of endometriosis. Endometriosis is a little-known problem that is a painful or simply uncomfortable set of symptoms:
1. Painful menstruation
2. Pain during sexual intercourse
3. Chronic pelvic pain
4. Heavy or irregular menstruation

Endometriosis is treated by a multidisciplinary team composed of gynaecologists, colorectal surgeons, specialists in pain management, as well as specialists in psychological medicine for the well-being of the patients.

8. Gynecological Cancer Centre
This service is dedicated to all women suffering from uterine, cervical, ovarian and other gynecological conditions. From screening and prevention to surgery and chemotherapy follow-up, this service offers a wide range of services. In order to ensure the emotional health of patients, a cancer support group is offered for patients in need.

9. Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre
This surgical technique consists of inserting a thin optic fibre tube through small notches in the abdomen. This process allows the surgeon to operate on the patient and to visualize all the organs, avoiding open, conventional surgery. This avoids many complications such as pain and postoperative aesthetics.

10. KKIVF Centre
This center specializes in fertility problems. After carrying out the first in vitro fertilization in 1983, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital now has the largest infertility centre in Singapore.

11. Laboratory
Accredited since 2003 for medical tests, this laboratory has a team of more than 100 people. It allows the hospital to work on new problems and has an academic focus.

12. Maternal and Fetal medicine
It is a referral centre for complicated pregnancies and focuses on the treatment of high-risk deliveries and fetal abnormalities.

13. Maternity Services
This service sees 30 to 35 babies born every day. It has several auxiliary services such as a day-care centre, birth registration and an obstetrics and gynaecology department.

14. Menopause
This service specializes in the treatment of problematic or unpleasant menopause. It offers diagnoses and lifestyle adjustments personalized to each client or hormonal treatments if necessary.

15. Urgent O & G Centre
This centre takes care of women with serious gynaecological or obstetrical problems, such as post-coital problems or severe pelvic pain with or without bleeding.

16. Obstetrics and Gynecology
This service is separated into two categories, obstetrics and gynaecological. The obstetrics service focuses on care before, during and after the birth of the child. While, the gynecological service will treat problems related to contraception, unwanted pregnancy or the management of menstrual cycle disorders.

17. Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery

This service is dedicated to the clinical treatment of adolescents between the ages of 13 and 16 years old.

This service assesses and manages mild to severe allergies.

3. Anaesthesia
This service covers more than 7,000 surgeries per year for patients aged 16 and under. In addition, certain resources are made available for children suffering from chronic or acute pain.

4. Cardiology
This service provides comprehensive care for heart disease in children and young adults.

5. Cardiothoracic Surgery
This service provides surgical interventions for heart or lung abnormalities, both urgent and non-urgent.

6. Child Development
This service provides care for children with behavioural or developmental disorders. A comprehensive outreach programme has been set up with primary schools in Singapore.

7. Children’s Cancer Centre
The KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital Cancer Centre is one of the largest in South Asia. It treats more than 70% of childhood cancers in Singapore with a specially trained multidisciplinary team.

13. Cleft & Craniofacial Centre
This service is the only comprehensive service in Singapore dedicated to the treatment of head, facial and neck abnormalities in children.

14. Dental Service

The aim of this service is to screen all babies in Singapore for metabolic and heritable cases. Currently, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital screens 90% of newborns in Singapore.

29. Orthopaedic Surgery
This service treats all children or adolescents suffering from musculoskeletal problems. Problems related to the spine, such as scoliosis, deformities of certain limbs or any motor difficulties are the cases followed by this service.

30. Psychological Medicine Service
This service provides a holistic range of services combined with follow-up and a complete and personalised service for each patient.

31. Psychosocial Trauma Support
In order to “deal with the after-effects of traumatic experience”, a multidisciplinary health team is made available for the psychological support of patients. It includes psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists and trauma counsellors.

32. Respiratory Medicine
The Respiratory Centre at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital works on breathing and sleep disorders in Singapore. It treats many cases including asthma.

33. Rheumatology & Immunology
This service treats all disorders related to joints, the immune system, soft tissue and connective tissue in children. They often present with weakness, muscle pain or unexplained skin rashes.

34. Sports Medicine

35. Vascular Anomalies
This service treats all vascular abnormalities. There are two main groups: vascular tumours and vascular malformations.

This service seeks to advance apprehension and understanding in order to improve clinical care for children’s brain and solid tumours…. It is a partnership with the VIVA Foundation and the SJCR Hospital in the United States.

37. Urgent Paediatric Advice Line
This service, created in response to the Coronavirus, provides online advice on symptoms related to Covid-2019 (fever, cough, diarrhea, vomiting…). The KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital launched this service to provide access to initial diagnoses for children and adolescents under 17 years of age.
